In honor of today's solar eclipse, I thought I'd share some from the 2017 solar eclipse. We spent about 2 weeks hiking the national parks out west - Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce & Moab - which I can't recommend enough. We ended it in Casper, Wyoming in the path of totality where the lights went out for 2 minutes and 28 seconds. Millions of people flooded the town, and somehow we snagged a campsite big enough for the minivan and a 4 person tent. With some DIY work by my husband, we rigged up the camera and binoculars to get a better view. It was all way more interesting than I thought it would be. As soon as the eclipse was over we fired up the minivan and hit the road for our 4 hour drive to the airport in Denver. Well...so did everyone else. It turned into a 12 hour trip, and we finally arrived at our hotel at 3:30am for a whopping one hour of sleep before our flight. It was a great experience, but if you're traveling today, then I wish you luck!
