Let It Shine Gala 2024: A Night of Celebration and Giving Back
The 2024 Let It Shine Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston brought together alumni, current students, faculty, and friends of Regis College to raise funds for student scholarships. Under the leadership of President Antoinette M. Hays, PhD, RN, the evening celebrated the power of education and community. This year’s gala honored Ophelia Dahl, co-founder of Partners In Health (PIH), for her groundbreaking work in global healthcare and social justice.
Regis College in Haiti
Dahl, who has helped build sustainable healthcare systems in underserved regions, spoke about her partnership with Regis College in Haiti, particularly through the college’s online nursing program, which has empowered Haitian nurses and improved healthcare access in rural areas.
Scholarship Funding
The gala raised an impressive $650,000 for student scholarships, ensuring that future generations of Regis students can continue to pursue their dreams regardless of financial background. Through live and silent auctions and direct donations, attendees made a meaningful impact on the lives of students in need.
The success of the event underscores the Regis College community’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and global impact. We look forward to future Let It Shine Galas and the continued growth of this vital scholarship fund.
